Shortly after graduating in 1995 with a BA from East Carolina University, Sarah moved to New York City and began working for Ralph Lauren and it was there that her love of fashion took shape. In 1998 she moved to Florida to help open Polo's new Palm Beach store and after six years of building her client book, Sarah recognized that there was an unmet demand in the Palm Beach area for private wardrobe consultation and closet organization services, and decided to go out on her own and build such a business. It was also about this time that she started a year long assignment with Vogue as a Fashion Editor and Event Planner to coordinate and plan a series of Calvin Klein fashion shows across the country. While on this assignment with Vogue, Sarah was responsible for selecting the models and styling their looks, as well as hosting the shows and commentating on the season's key looks and current fashion trends. Then in 2006 she teamed up with Melanie and began working with Clos-ette as a stylist to help expand its South Florida business. Sarah's like minded enthusiasm for organization and her well developed fashion sense made for a perfect fit with the Close-ette philosophy.
