Carefully handcrafted for every day

At Clos-ette we design spaces from the inside out. We focus on the intersection between the geometry of your space, your inventory, and your personality to create a cohesive and custom plan that marries both design and function.

Through this combination of bespoke high design and time-tested organizational principles, Clos-ette will help you create the unique lifestyle and look you desire in your dream home.

This philosophy sets us apart as one of the premier holistic organizational design firms in the world. Our trademarked process will help you achieve great functionality in such areas as the dressing room or kitchen, while customizing every detail, from hardware to drawer inserts, to define and maximize your space in style. Clos-ette works exclusively for a discerning clientele that expects the highest quality and standards.

First discovered by Vogue, Clos-ette and its founder Melanie Charlton Fowler are regularly included in exclusive design conferences around the world and have garnered many accolades from national and international press, including awards like the Best of Houzz, Best of New York Magazine, and Best of Goop.

OUR PROCESS
CONSULTATION

No project is the same, which is why we discuss a personalized program and estimate for each new client. We work together to develop a plan that is tailored to each person’s individual needs without sacrificing our time-proven process.

THE INVENTORY PROCESS

Your items are the key ingredient of our tailored process. Whether we are working on a pantry silver room, kitchen, or dressing room, our goal is to marry luxury and order. We build closets that organize and merchandise your wardrobe so it is wearable, is cared for, and is beautifully displayed. We apply this philosophy to utilitarian spaces like the kitchen so that utensils, food, fine china, and tabletop receive the same impeccable treatment.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

We collaborate seamlessly with project teams (your architect, designer, and builder) on private commissioned residences or lead the project ourselves from start to finish to deliver hand-drawn plans, custom-installed millwork, and inventory placement to almost anywhere in the world.

THE CLOS-ETTE RESULT

Whether we carry out a design-only project or build out the entire room, clients are welcomed into a functional yet beautiful space filled with quality cabinetry, hardware, and accessories. This is the final result of well-balanced design process that helps elevate your standard of living by allowing function to live equally beside form.

"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
